Nonwoven geotextile products are used widely in construction for protection, drainage, filtration, soil separation, etc. Demand for nonwoven geotextile materials has grown, and TenCate Geosynthetics Americas—one of the world’s largest producers—has responded with the commission of a significant new line.
EXPANDING NONWOVEN GEOTEXTILE PRODUCTION
At the company’s Jefferson, Georgia facility, TenCate has installed a state-of-the-art high-quality nonwovens line. The investment includes advanced fiber distribution capabilities to create a uniquely consistent product in appearance and finished roll dimension. It also uses the largest card/cross lapper in the staple fiber geosynthetics industry for the production of both polypropylene and polyester geotextiles.
“We are excited to announce this production expansion is now operational,” said John Henderson, P.E., President of TenCate Geosynthetics Americas. “This investment represents another important milestone in TenCate’s strategy and future.”
TenCate’s team recognized the new line’s opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on October 15.
The company develops solutions and systems for transportation, infrastructure, water management and environmental applications, delivered through synthetic woven, nonwoven, and knitted products. TenCate Geosynthetics has production locations in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
