NAUE GmbH & Co. KG (an ISO 9001 certified group of international companies) manufacturers geotextiles, geomembranes, GCLs, geogrids, drainage and erosion control mats for all geotechnical and civil engineering applications. They also offer product development and geotechnical advice to assist with even the most challenging projects. Major applications in which NAUE’s technologies are utilized include landfill design and closure, groundwater protection, road building, tunneling, waterproofing, environmental remediation, hydraulic engineering, shoreline stabilization, and much more.
NAUE’s innovations, such as the needlepunching process for geosynthetic clay liners, have earned the company accolades, including the highest honor bestowed by the International Geosynthetics Society (IGS)–an IGS Award.
At NAUE, we offer project-specific product development, geotechnical engineering support, and solutions to complicated challenges to simplify your project, increase the sustainability of your sites, and extend project service lives.
Geosynthetic Approach Saves 40% Cost for Arkun Dam
The newly constructed Arkun Dam hydropower facility on the Çoruh River (Turkey) would have been considerably more expensive if conventional concrete walls were used along the edges of the power station. NAUE Geosynthetics profiles the project and the reinforced earth option that was selected and which saved 40% on the cost for this portion of the project.

Bentofix® - Bentofix® is a needle-punched reinforced geosynthetic clay liner (GCL) with two geotextile layers encapsulating a layer of sodium bentonite for sealing applications. Bentofix® "X" types are needlepunched GCLs where the woven fabric is coated with a low permeability and gas-tight polyolefin coating to achieve an immeadiate barrier prior to hydration.
Carbofol® - Carbofol® is a chemical resistant geomembrane with smooth of structure-embossed surface for sealing applications.
Combigrid - Combigrid® is a composite product of a Secugrid® geogrid, with a needle-punched Secutex® nonwoven geotextile firmly welded between the reinforcement bars, for soil stabilisation, separation and filtration applications.
Secugrid® - Secugrid® is a structurally sound and stable geogrid for soil reinforcement, manufactured of extruded and drawn bars, flat and welded solidly together.
Secudrain® - Secudrain® is a three-dimensional composite product, consisting of a drainage core and firmly attached filter nonwoven geotextiles for drainage applications.
Secumat® - Secumat® is a three-dimensional erosion control mat with a labyrinth-like synthetic core.
Secutex® - Secutex® is a needle-punched staple fibre nonwoven geotextile, some products additionally calendered, used for separation, filtration, protection and drainage.
Terrafix® - Terrafix® is a single- or multi-layer, needle-punched nonwoven for separation, filtration, protection and sand container applications.
m3 - NAUE m3 is a Secugrid® reinforced slope and retaining wall system. Multiple material combinations and designs (Clamp, Wrap, Nail, Gabion, Block, Panel, Steel T, Steel P) give the designer a huge array of options for slopes and wall configurations, angles, and aesthetics.
