Woven Monofilament Geotextiles
Thrace-LINQ
TM offers three woven monofilament geotextiles, each with unique high strength, permittivity and water flow rate properties. Their unusual combination of features makes monofilaments well-suited to meet the engineering and design needs of civil structures with unusual hydraulic considerations. Since they also incorporate a uniform pore structure, monofilaments perform filtration well and are ideal for erosion control and drainage facilities.
ASSHTO M 288 is the national guideline specification for the use of geotextiles in civil engineering applications.
Thrace-LINQ
TM woven monofilaments meet the guidelines as follows:
GTF 400EO: Class 3 Subsurface Drainage
GTF 400E: Class 2 Subsurface Drainage (15-50% in situ soil through 0.075mm sieve), Class 2 and 3 Separation, Class 2 Stabilization, and Permanent Erosion Control (15-50% in situ soil through 0.075mm sieve)
GTF 404: Class 1, 2 and 3 Separation and Stabilization
Features & Benefits
Durable polypropylene yarns woven for dimensional stability
High permittivity and water flow rates
High modulus, for immediate structural support
Low elongation, to restrain construction damage like tearing or puncturing
Low cost compared to alternatives, reducing total project expenses
Excellent resistance to UV degradation
Woven Medium Strength Geotextiles
Thrace-LINQ
TM produces a variety of unique medium strength woven geotextiles. This line is customized to meet the special engineering and design needs for civil structures like roads, walls, slopes, building pads and drainage structures. Medium strength geotextiles are high modulus, and designed with unique filtration and permittivity properties, making them valuable tools for a range of applications.
When used for separation and stabilization, Thrace-LINQ
TM medium-use geotextiles can reduce needed structural materials by as much as 40%. Their high modulus makes them an excellent fit for reinforcement needs for applications from roadways to slopes, from walls to dikes and landfills. Given their filtration properties, they are also well suited to erosion control and drainage.
Features & Benefits
Durable polypropylene yarns woven for dimensional stability
Unique weave, optimizing both strength and filtration properties
High modulus, for immediate structural support
Low elongation, to restrain construction damage like tearing or puncturing
Low cost, reducing total project expenses
Civil Nonwoven Geotextiles
Thrace-LINQ
TM civil nonwoven geotextiles are designed for high permittivity (water flow) and a fine pore structure. Their strength prevents damage due to construction stresses, while their pores allow the free flow of groundwater and in-place gas and liquid transmission. Given their fine pore structure, civil nonwovens prevent fine soils from piping through or clogging the geotextile - eliminating the need for an expensive graded granular filter.
AASHTO M 288 is the national guideline specification for the use of geotextiles in civil engineering applications.
Thrace-LINQ
TM civil nonwovens meet the guidelines as follows:
140EX: Class 3 Drainage, Separation and Stabilization; Paving Fabric
150EX: Class 2 Drainage, Separation and Stabilization
180EX: Class 1 Stabilization and Permanent Erosion Control
Features & Benefits
Nonwoven structure, providing excellent surface friction and built-in elongation
Effective filter, with tight pore size (AOS=70) and high permittivity
High tensile strength, with excellent puncture and tear resistance
Range from 3.2 oz/sy (109g/sm) - 16.0 oz/sy (543g/sm)
Thick structure, allowing cushioning and lateral gas and liquid transmission
Environmental Nonwoven Geotextiles
Thrace-LINQ
TM environmental nonwoven geotextiles provide both strength and quality while meeting the delicate needs of structures that protect the environment. Fashioned from durable polypropylene fibers, environmental nonwovens are needle-punched and form a strong, thick structure that can ensure the protection and performance of structures like impermeable lining systems.
With environmental nonwoven geotextiles, you can economically meet federal safety and performance requirements, ensuring faultless protection, separation, stabilization or filtration performance. Thrace-LINQ
TM nonwovens also relieve built-up gas or liquid pressure.
Features & Benefits
Durable, chemical-resistance, UV-stabilized polypropylene fibers
Excellent surface friction and built-in elongation, to prevent damage
Effective filter, with tight pore size (AOS=70) and high permittivity
High tensile strength, with excellent puncture and tear resistance
Range up to 16.0 oz/sy (543g/sm), to cover all environmental needs
Thick structure, allowing cushioning and lateral gas and liquid transmission
Erosion Control Products
Thrace-LINQ
TM erosion control products are designed for drainage, separation, asphalt overlay and permanent erosion control - and each is engineered to deliver reliable performance, environmental stewardship and great value. Featuring developmental and technical expertise from Western Excelsior, Erosion Control Blankets and Turf Reinforcement Mats offer a variety of specifications to ensure precise, reliable functionality. Each nonwoven geotextile is fashioned from tough polypropylene staple fibers and is available in a range of weights.
Features & Benefits
Strong polypropylene staple fibers
Range from 3.2 oz/sy (109g/sm) - 16.0 oz/sy (543g/sm)
Woven Slit Film Geotextiles
Thrace-LINQ
TM woven slit film geotextiles are well-suited for the separation and stabilization of roads. Their durable, high-modulus polypropylene yarns are woven into a competent structure that meets or exceeds industry standards. Since slit film is both economical and hardwearing, it is also used to reinforce other civil structures like slopes, walls and dikes, and can serve as an erosion-preventing silt fence.
AASHTO M 288 is the national guideline specification for the use of geotextiles in civil engineering applications.
Thrace-LINQ
TM woven slit film meets the guidelines as follows:
GTF 200S: Class 3 Separation and Unsupported Temporary Silt Fence
GTF 200: Class 3 Separation
GTF 250, GTF 270: Class 2 and 3 Separation and Stabilization
GTF 300: Class 2 and 3 Separation, Class 1 and 2 Stabilization

Silt Fence
Thrace-LINQ
TM silt fence products excel at controlling silt and sediment runoff, whether at construction sites or contamination-prone watershed areas. Fashioned from UV-stabilized, woven polypropylene, geotextile silt fences help to satisfy environmental regulations during site development and construction.
AASHTO M 288 is the national guideline for the use of geotextiles in civil engineering applications, and our product GTF 190SF meets this requirement. However, since multiple specifying agencies contribute additional guidelines, Thrace-LINQ
TM silt fences are available in a variety of styles and designs.

Paving Fabrics
Thrace-LINQ
TM paving fabrics extend the life of asphalt concrete overlays by delaying the formation of stress-related cracking and by improving structural section performance through surface water infiltration. When used in conjunction with an asphalt cement tack coat, they provide a pavement interlayer that absorbs and dissipates stress while also providing a moisture barrier. They can also extend the life of a seal coat (chip seal) and dramatically improve stone retention.
Available in weights that meet all industry needs, Thrace-LINQ
TM 140EX also fits the requirements of national standard AASHTO M 288 for Paving Fabric.
