Call for Abstracts: Floating Covers for Potable Water

Geo-Frontiers 201112 February 2010 - Geo-Frontiers 2011 brings together the North American Geosynthetics Society (NAGS), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Geo-Institute (GI) and the Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI). It will be held 13-16 March 2011 in Dallas, Texas.

In an effort to protect potable water from various environmental, community, and security risks, many entities and municipalities are covering their water reservoirs. This has created substantial innovation to cover these large and often oddly shaped water reservoirs. This creativity has lead to a number of different types of floating covers, construction techniques, and lining materials. This session will allow authors to present the latest advances in floating cover design, specification, installation, testing, performance, durability, and repair.

PLEASE submit your 200-300 word abstract and future submissions through the Geo-Frontiers 2011 website at:
