$520,400 Grant to Wayne, Nebraska for Wastewater Treatment Plant Project

30 November 2009 - EPA has awarded $520,400 to Wayne, Nebraska, for improvements to its wastewater treatment plant project.

EPA Region 7 Acting Regional Administrator William Rice said, "EPA is proud to award these water infrastructure funds to protect water quality. Water infrastructure is a lifeline for community health and prosperity."

Wayne's existing 25-year-old facility continues to generate odor complaints regarding the sludge treatment system. The grant will help construct a wastewater treatment plant which will address odor concerns.
