We're in Dallas for the annual Environmental Connection conference from the International Erosion Control Association (IECA). For the general EC10 attendee, Wednesday's full day of activities included a number of strong educational sessions and the exhibit hall's opening night reception.
Also, the networking strength of the event was clear, as nearly every minute outside of sessions was taken up with face-to-face meetings throughout the Hilton Anatole's spacious layout.
For Geosynthetica, it was a long day of very productive and interesting discussions. We'd like to thank Diane Hitt and John Ravert of East Coast Erosion Blankets, Michael Robeson and Chris Wilhite of Profile Products, Mark Myrowich of Erosion Control Blanket, Joel Sprague of TRI/Environmental (and his son Jay Sprague of Pennington Seed), Ghislain Brunet of Maccaferri and Scott Harrison of Terra Novo for all the sit-down time. As conversations with you revealed, there is far more to talk about than the economy! Great projects have been going on and a number of very interesting products and services are emerging this year. We look for forward to publishing more about all that soon.
Also, it was great to run into Ron Bygness of Geosynthetics Magazine, Kevin Carmody of CE News (and Colin Stagnito of CE News' publisher: Stagnito Media), and Tamara Forlanski of ESCN.tv.
