geogrids and geotextiles - that are especially designed for soil reinforcement
applications such as slope and wall reinforcement, road base reinforcement,
landfill veneer reinforcement and many other specialty applications.

Steve Lothspeich, P.E. has been named President of Huesker, Inc. Lothspeich has over 20 years experience in the geosynthetic industry with manufacturers of geotextiles, geogrids and geocomposites. With design experience in reinforced retaining walls, slopes and landfills he also has developed geogrids for base reinforcement, geotextiles for coastal erosion, and geocomposites for filtration and lining applications.
Over the past decade he has been responsible for marketing and sales of high strength geosynthetic reinforcement geogrids and geotextiles. He is also a member of ASTM Committee D35 on Geosynthetics and International Geosyntethics Society. He received his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University and has been a registered Professional Engineer since 1990. Steve is married to his wife Ana and has two sons - Alex and Matthew. He recently retired as a Cub Scout den leader of five years with Pack 174.

Huesker is
working with Aplix on the railroad side of their business. Aplix makes
a hook product that is being used with Huesker's 8oz/yd2 material
to field splice absorbent mat material. Also, they have hired two new
sales engineers, Cameron Gallamore - working with Roy McClinton on geocomposites & Gregory
Kiggins - working with Steve Lothspeich as the product manager for Fornit & Hatelit.
